Kawasaki 350 Bighorn

When I was four years old I drew a picture of what resembled a Kawasaki 350 motorcycle.

Judging from the badge on the tank, the engine and the knobby tires it was most likely a two-stroke enduro bike. Otherwise known as a dual-purpose bike.

Fast-forward to today, I’m riding one in a small town exploring old mills and underpasses that factory workers once used. The classic two-stroke ‘ring ding’ sound echoes through stone tunnels and the smell makes me smile.

This is our 1975 Kawasaki 350 Bighorn. It’s extremely well preserved with its original paint. We freshened up the engine and it runs like a champ. Despite its immaculate condition, we choose to experience the Bighorn for what it was intended for; racing around, dirt roads and exploring.
